Racial equality occurs when institutions give equal opportunities to people of all races. In other words, regardless of physical traits such as skin color, institutions and are to give individuals legal, moral, and political equality.
Equal opportunity is a state of fairness in which job applicants are treated similarly, unhampered by artificial barriers or prejudices or preferences, except when particular distinctions can be explicitly justified.
A race is a grouping of humans based on shared physical or social qualities into categories generally viewed as distinct by society.
A phenotypic trait , simply trait, or character state is a distinct variant of a phenotypic characteristic of an organism; it may be either inherited or determined environmentally, but typically occurs as a combination of the two. For example, eye color is a character of an organism, while blue, brown and hazel are traits.
Racial integration, or simply integration, includes desegregation (the process of ending systematic racial segregation). In addition to desegregation, integration includes goals such as leveling barriers to association, creating equal opportunityregardless of race, and the development of a culture that draws on diverse traditions, rather than merely bringing a racial minorityinto the majority culture. Desegregation is largely a legal matter, integration largely a social one.
